LOCATED on the tip of Foa Island in Ha'apai, the Matafonua Lodge has 10 Tongan style fales providing budget accommodation for singles, couples or families. Sal and Dave (the Kiwi owners) welcome you to a friendly, laid-back holiday destination with white sand beaches ideal for swimming, relaxing and kayaking. The fales have electricity, comfortable bedding with mosquito nets, linens and towels. There are separate male and female facilities (including hot showers) within easy reach of all accommodation. On-site there is a cafe and licensed bar serving affordable meals. Diving and whalewatching trips can be arranged.
